Abstract
This research has used the theory of descriptiology in order to examine the role of description in Parviz Natal Khanleri's poem "Eagle". By criticizing the previous views about description and providing a new look at what description is in literature, this research seeks to find answers to questions such as the role of the descriptor and the descriptee, the feasibility of the difference between the descriptor and the narrator, and the difference between descriptiee and listening narratee, as well as the effect of description on the style and success of the work.
Using the combined method of analytical philosophy and descriptplogy theory, along with the statistical data mining method, Oqab (=Eagle) Khanleri's poem has been analyzed precisely. The findings of this research show that the description in Aqab's poem plays a very important role in creating a mental image, conveying concepts and establishing a relationship with the reader. Also, this research, while correcting and completing the typology of description, has investigated the relationship between narrative and descriptive elements and quantitative and qualitative evaluation of descriptions in the text.
The results of this research show that the theory of descriptology with evolution and development can become a powerful tool for deep and comprehensive analysis of literary works. Also, this research helps to better understand the Eagle poem and its complexities. The findings of this research can be useful for critics and literary theorists, researchers and writers, as well as in research related to artificial intelligence based on linguistic models.
