The Scorched earth was written to show imposed war and its tension. It can be analyzed from different perspective such as Froid’s psychoanalysis theory.in this novel the effect and features of war and defense against the enemy is stated. The aim of this study is to analyze fear, anxiety and defensive mechanism in The Scorched earth. The present study uses a descriptive and analytical method. some people use defensive mechanism in order to lesson the mental injuries that is caused by fear and anxiety of war, defensive actions such as taking drug, repressing the memories, escaping from situations, insulting the enemies, saying prays, and crying over martyrs .the memories, escaping from situations, insulting the enemies, saying prays, and crying over martyrs . ازآنجاکه جنگ سبب ایجاد شدید‌ترین نوع ترس، استرس، اضطراب و احساس ناکامی در افراد درگیر جنگ و غیر آن می‌شود؛ خواه‌ناخواه این مؤلفه‌ها در آثار جنگ و دفاع مقدس بروز می‌یابند. رمان «زمین سوخته» در بیان وقایع جنگ تحمیلی و فشار‌های روحی ـ روانی ناشی از جنگ نگاشته شده است و می‌توان آن را از جنبه‌های مختلف ازجمله روانکاوی فروید بررسی کرد. در این رمان تأثیرات و ویژگی‌های جنگ و دفاع مانند: ترس، اضطراب، مکانیسم‌های دفاعی و پایداری در مقابل دشمن بیان‌شده است. هدف این پژوهش، بررسی و تحلیل جلوه‌های ترس، اضطراب و مکانیسم‌های دفاعی در رمان «زمین سوخته» است. روش پژوهش حاضر، توصیفی ـ تحلیلی است. برخی از اشخاص برای کاهش آسیب‌های روحی ـ روانی ناشی از ترس و اضطراب جنگ، به راه‌های مقابله و مکانیسم‌های دفاعی (البته بیشتر ناآگاهانه) مانند: استفاده از مواد مخدر، سرکوب خاطرات، فرار از موقعیت، فحاشی به دشمن، توسل به دعا، نیایش و گریه برای شهیدان متوسل می‌شوند. https://lcq.modares.ac.ir/article_18742_9f66a575a6cfaaf7e43177317461d057.pdf
