The main goal of our paper is to introduce the “Literary Geography” as a type of literary criticism. As the name implies, this inter-discipline is the result of the interaction of geography and literature, and its emergence is directly related to the importance of the concept of “space” and “place” in the humanities. From the 1990s space and place studies have been a dominant trend in the humanities, which eventually resulted in the birth of the field of “Literary Geography” with its various branches such as “Geocriticism,” “literary tourism,” and “literary cartography.” In this study, the theoretical basics of Literary Geography are introduced, relying on the concept of space and place. Furthermore, we have introduced some important related subfields and their use and current position in the academic studies. Among these branches, “literary cartography,” as a prerequisite for literary geography, is emphasized more than the other branches. Literary Geography provides an apt ground for analyzing different aspects of poetry and fiction. The collected data in Literary Geography can be instrumental in the literary studies and sociology of literature. In fact, geographic data have an important function in literature even though most literary critics usually overlook them. <span>امروزه مطالعات بینارشته‌ای در</span> <span>میان پژوهشگران حوزه ادبیات جایگاه ویژه‌ای یافته است که طبیعتاً در پویایی جریان نقد ادبی نیز موثر خواهد افتاد. هدف اصلی مقاله پیش رو، معرفی رشته مطالعاتیِ جغرافیای ادبی است که می‌توان آن را شکلی از نقد ادبی به شمار آورد. این رشته همانطور که از نامش پیداست حاصل برهم‌کنش جغرافیا و ادبیات است و پیدایش آن با اهمیت یافتن مفهوم </span><span>«</span><span>فضا» و «مکان» در علوم انسانی ارتباط مستقیم دارد. مطالعات مربوط به «فضا» و «مکان» از دهه 1990 در پژوهش‌های علوم انسانی برجسته شد و در پی آن، رشته «جغرافیای ادبی» (</span><span dir="LTR">Literary Geography</span><span>) و شاخه</span><span dir="LTR"><span>‌</span><span>‌های مختلف آن مانند نقد جغرافیایی (</span><span dir="LTR">Geocriticism</span><span>)، گردشگری ادبی (</span><span dir="LTR">Literary tourism</span><span>) و نقشه‌نگاری ادبی (</span><span dir="LTR">Literary Cartography</span><span>) شکل گرفت. </span><br> <span>در این پژوهش ابتدا مبانی نظری جغرافیای ادبی با تکیه بر مفهوم فضا و مکان طرح می‌گردد. سپس چند شاخه‌ مهم مرتبط با آن معرفی و کاربرد و موقعیت کنونی آن‌ها در سیر مطالعات دانشگاهی بررسی می‌شود؛ در میان این شاخه‌ها «نقشه‌نگاری ادبی» به عنوان پیش‌نیاز جغرافیای ادبی، بیش از همه مورد توجه قرار خواهد گرفت. انجام این پژوهش مستلزم جمع‌آوری و بررسی منابع متعددی است که برخی از آنها طی مقاله معرفی خواهد شد.</span><br> <span>حاصل پژوهش این است که جغرافیای ادبی بستر مناسبی را برای تحلیل و بررسی جنبه‌های متفاوتی از شعر و داستان فراهم می‌سازد و داده‌های به دست آمده از آن برای مطالعات ادبی و جامعه‌شناسی ادبیات سودمند است. در حقیقت، مکان‌های جغرافیایی، کارکرد ادبی قابل تاملی در آثار ادبی دارند که معمولا از نظر منتقدان ادبی دور می‌ماند.</span><br> https://lcq.modares.ac.ir/article_18736_a813dd53b48d27057751934eb852c345.pdf
